By reframing “issues” as “possibilities” and finding the courage to seize them, Enlightened Leaders can reach new levels of prosperity.

In my recent conversation with Moshe Gersht, a spiritual teacher and best-selling author, we tapped into invaluable lessons on the importance of resilience, intuition, and cultivating intentional joy.
Through his teachings, Moshe emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with one’s true self and understanding the essential nature of life.
By tapping into our innate goodness, Moshe believes that we can achieve genuine contentment and navigate the complexities of modern life, which is often inundated with an overload of information and fleeting ideas. His work aims to simplify the pursuit of happiness and provide a clear pathway to a more fulfilling existence.
Intention, Joy, and Certainty
Moshe delved into themes from his book, “The Three Conditions,” on living a supercharged life. He mentioned three core conditions: Intention, Joy, and Certainty as the bedrock of a fulfilled life.
Intention allows us to discover our true selves and disconnect from the “noise” of what we’ve been told and what we’ve been made to believe. Who am I really in this human experience?
True certainty, according to Mosche, involves openness to outcomes rather than an anticipation of results. This nuanced understanding helps leaders remain adaptable and receptive to life’s multifaceted directions.
We don’t find joy by looking at what’s in front of us, we find it by recognizing what’s inside of us. It often requires a change in perspective to recognize what we already have rather than perpetually chasing what could be. By aligning our intention and certainty, we open the door to finding true joy – we open the door for miracles.
- Action Items: Adopting an Open-Hearted Approach – Embrace life’s inherent uncertainty with an open heart. View every challenge as an opportunity for growth and learning. Engage in activities that promote a state of flow, such as surfing, skiing or snowboarding, to mirror an adaptable and open-hearted approach to life’s directions. Encourage a mindset that sees life as inherently positive, with challenges as integral parts of progressive evolution.
- Setting Intentions – This is about understanding your purpose and the goodness you bring into the world. Start your day by setting a clear intention. What do you hope to achieve? What kind of energy do you want to bring into your interactions
A Rock Band’s Journey: From Possible Scam to Stardom
Moshe shared a riveting story from his days as a rock band lead singer, a tale that’s not only captivating but also brimming with lessons on resilience and seizing hidden opportunities.
His band was down to their last $400 when they received a dubious offer to play at an after-party for the Grammys. Despite suspicions, they paid the $400, only to find themselves at a small gathering in Beverly Wood instead of the glitzy Beverly Hills. It felt like a scam, but despite the disappointment, they stayed, performed, and ended up impressing what turned out to be an executive from a record label.
This chance performance led to a showcase and eventually, an invitation to tour Japan. Moshe’s story underscores the importance of resilience and not walking away too soon.
Sometimes, what appears to be a setback is just a disguised opportunity.
Leadership Wisdom: Self-Worth and Perspective
Moshe and I explored deeper elements of leadership and personal growth, looking at how self-worth affects happiness and success.
Our beliefs shape our behavior, and much of our thought patterns stem from subconscious beliefs about ourselves.
- Action Items: Practice mindfulness to become aware of negative thought patterns. Acknowledge them without judgment. Challenge and reframe limiting beliefs. Transform “I am not good enough” to “I am evolving and learning.”
Moshe’s perspective is that life is inherently good and driven by a deeper guiding force. He believes in staying open to life, viewing events as happening for one’s benefit rather than happening “to” them. This positive perspective is essential for resilient and effective leadership.
These insights are powerful reminders that personal growth and leadership are deeply intertwined journeys. By embracing these principles, we can all lead more enlightened and fulfilling lives.
